Rachel has been working in film for over 25 years, most recently cutting documentaries for exceptional directors including Martin Scorsese, Kent Jones and Deborah Shaffer. Her work has aired on PBS, HBO, MSNBC, ABC, AMC, The History Channel and Discovery Channel.
Rachel began in narrative, directing two shorts and two features that screened in dozens of festivals, theaters and museums around the world. Two of her films are in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art.
While working in production Rachel collaborated with filmmakers including Chantal Akerman, Sara Driver, Jean Pierre Gorin, Babette Mangolte and Amy Taubin. She has taught workshops at Columbia University Graduate Film Department, The School of Visual Arts, Purchase College and Maine's Rockport College.
